Along with regular and special collections, visitors will be able to access rare trans books and zines when we open to the public in 2026. The New York City Trans Archives prioritizes collecting books and zines that are not available at other institutions or online. We encourage you to submit your materials using our acquisitions form. We also have a list of book requests here, focusing on preserving texts at risk of becoming lost literary works.
Many of our books are no longer under copyright restrictions, and we will begin digitizing them in summer 2026.
You can return to this page in summer 2026 for a full list of available books and zines. If you would like to purchase a rare book for NYCTA, please see our requests page.
