Welcome to the NYC Trans Archives! The NYC Trans Archives (NYCTA) preserves transgender culture in the New York City region and beyond. Founded in 2023, NYCTA is the first and only full-service trans archive in the Eastern United States. It is entirely independent and run by and for trans people.
We are currently fundraising to open a physical location in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, Lenapehoking in 2026, with archival storage facilities located in New Jersey.
