Trans Imaginations Workshop

The New York City Trans Archives’ Trans Imaginations Workshop (TIW) is a program that promotes creativity, expression, and self-determination through art and culture. The art program helps trans people, including trans youth, take part in film, documentary, photography, storytelling, spoken word, performance, poetry, fiction, nonfiction/memoirs, plays, zines, music, crafts, collage, croqueting, knitting, and other forms of self-expression. NYCTA volunteers work directly with participants to encourage creativity while learning, documenting, and community building.

While NYCTA works with our existing connections to youth to provide these workshops in New York City area schools, we always welcome invitations from beyond the NYC area. If you are interested in holding a Trans Imaginations Workshop, please contact us at nyctransarchives [at] gmail.com.
